Over the years, the Brazen Head has proved to be one of the most popular venues on the Glasgow music scene, bringing many new and established live acts from around the world to play for the people of the city.

Naturally, the emphasis is on the very best of Irish entertainment and major acts from the emerald isle, including More Power to Your Elbow, Donegal all-girl band Summerfly and the Irish Brigade have graced the Brazen’s stage, helping establish the venue as a must visit for music fans.

Irish-American super-group Seanachai have regularly jetted in from New York to gig at the venue and remain a firm favourite among the Brazen faithful.

Closer to home, Scottish folk bands like Spirit of ’67 have debuted at the Brazen, graduating to play on the big stage at Celtic Park, along with many other well known acts such as Athenrye, Saoirse, The Foggy Dew, The Claymores, The Wakes, South Dublin Union, Shebeen and the legendary Blarney Pilgrims!

Glasgow band Eire Og’s ‘Live at the Brazen’ album, released a decade ago, has entered traditional music folklore as one of the greatest recordings of all time, while lead singer Gary Og continues his association with the bar with regular performances to this day!

Other bands and beat combos, like Charlie and the Bhoys, Tim Buk Five, The Exiles and The Amadans, remain friends of the pub and have been integral to the production of that unique Brazen Head atmosphere that has to be sampled to be believed.
